I couldn’t tell her no.

How do you explain to someone that yes, on the one hand, I’m thinking about conspiracies, bad guys, how to kill people, and staying off the grid.

On the other hand, I’m a mild mannered guy standing with other baseball parents at tournaments cheering on an 8 year old baseball team.

Basically, I’m good at lying.

I lie about a spy living in Florida.

I lie about a dad hunting for his kids in an apocalyptic wasteland.

I lie about invading aliens.

I lie about magic in the real world.

And I lie about an unapologetic drunk lawyer saving the world.

There are more lies I tell.

“What did you do all day?!”

I worked.

How can you say, I watched a video on Youtube about book marketing, wrote 10k words (cause writing isn’t “work”, did all the house work shit, and the next item on the honey do list.

So I just say, I worked.

She thinks I’m hiding something and I guess I am.

I don’t talk about the two new sci fi books out on Audible last month.
