The skies are spinning from Kansas to Arkansas today.

The weather is spooky in spring time because it’s scary when the air wants to kill you.

Give me soft long gentle rain over warm days and cold fronts colliding in an epic battle of physics.

Hot air up, cold drafts down, wind twisting the world around.

But better today than Saturday.

This weekend we drive over to Mississippi to watch the boys play.

We have a cheap hotel room not too far from a cheap blues bar with craft beer and an Elvis look a like crooning the King.

We’re ready to get all shook up.

At least for two drinks then back to the hotel for an early morning breakfast served (for me, because up at 5 is fun at hotels) and at least one more game before Spring Break.

Not for me though.

We don’t get Spring Break for grown ups as much as we should, though I get accused of breaking every day.

So much of what I do takes place in my mind or in the cloud or online where I don’t have to go sit in an office and pretend to work, that sometimes it doesn’t look as if I’m working at all.

And thinking is work, which is why so many refuse to do it.

Easier to act, which is the key to success.

If acting in the right direction and to the right purpose.

Otherwise, you’re just busy getting nowhere.

Which sounds like a great title for a book, doesn’t it?

I should think on it for a bit, then get busy doing it.

If the weather holds, that is.
