It's 9AM
Part of what I like to do is plan.
I don’t guess. I know.
I like to plan.
I’m really good at it.
I can think of the outcome I want and plan backwards.
It’s military training.
Define the objective.
What steps will it take to reach the objective.
What tools will make the outcome possible.
Line ‘em up. Walk ‘em back.
All the way to step one.
Then take the first step.
Mike Tyson said, “Everybody’s got a plan until they get punched in the face”
And maybe it was Patton who said, “No plan survives contact with the enemy.”
Maybe that’s why so many of my plans go awry.
Too much face punching.
Too much contact.
Another guru will tell me it’s action.
Getting punched in the face is an action.
So is contact.
Sometimes for me, planning is the action.
It doesn’t necessarily get me closer to my goal.
It’s just fun to plan it out.
I did a business analysis with an expert who calculated how much I’m supposed to be making from my writing.
We made a plan to get there.
It starts with audio.
I want to make audio editions of my books.
And I want your help.
