This
This is what AI can do.
Not today
Not well anyway but the idea of this is in the infant stage.
Like watching the CGI of The Abyss and comparing it to Avengers Endgame.
But instead of decades between the advancement it will be months
SORA will be able to make this movie.
There is a program in China that can make a version of it now
Not a great version.
But in six months it will.
Can.
And a step beyond.
You
In the next 5 years you will be able to pick your own mix and match movie
Movies .
And in 10 years you can use VR like Occulus to be in the movie as an observer
Maybe even a character.
Pretty cool.
Would you help the Ewoks fight the Predator?
Or hunt the little bastards for your trophy wall?
Do you remember choose your own adventure books?
They were huge when I was a teen.
What if, one day soon, you can choose your own adventure movie?
It’s going to happen.
I was talking with someone about D&D.
Dungeons and Dragons.
I never played, though I was invited a few times.
They made a D&D cartoon when I was growing up that was pretty good.
A couple of kids get pulled into the game and have to fight to stay alive.
Slaying dragons.
Rescuing damsels in distress.
A Ranger. A Knight. A Barbarian. A Wizard. The Thief.
And…An acrobat?
Which has never been a character I’ve encountered before, but like I said, I never played.
But the movie got good ratings.
I can’t say if it was good because I haven’t seen it yet.
I suspect that a D&D adventure will be huge in the VR world.
There are sort of intersects of interests that make it look like a good bet.
At least in a Venn Diagram.
And that opens up the door to even more possibilities.
Like for Amazon and the entire MGM catalog they own.
The mix up and mash ups they could create.
The Honeymooners living above Friends and interacting.
Or Jessie James teaming up with Wyatt Earp to chase down Billy the Kid in a classic style wild west adventure.
Stuff that can be done in the imagination now, will be able to display on the screen in the future.
I’m not too worried.
Not yet anyway.
Ask me again in a decade.
Because while folks may like the “idea” of something, the execution isn’t always easy.
Or satisfying.
Once the novelty of it wears off, it will fall to some action takers to do the actual work for the rest of the world to enjoy.
Writers may not have to write screenplays or novels, but they could switch to writing prompts to give people the AI experience they want.
Or like me, explore the hell out of how to use SORA and other programs to build things like:
A Battlefield Z movie universe
OR
George Washington series where he shows and explains the American Revolution.
And westerns, like the above mentioned Jessie James led chase film/book.
What will the near future look like?
And what would you like to see?

I wonder how I would use AI to illustrate or make a video for this IT’S 9AM. Leave a comment and let me know after you listen to it.

This is a truck bed swimming pool and I think about how much trouble I would have gotten into if I had this as a teen.
I know, I probably could have rigged one up with a tarp, but tailgate parties around a bonfire might have looked a little bit different in the 80’s with this bad boy.
Big hair, neon bikinis, neon sunglasses, Wine Coolers and Boone’s Farm Strawberry Hill might have started a few more things.
