A typical day isn’t so typical right now.
I’m adding 60 titles to new platforms.
Google Partner Books.
Draft2Digital for 14 other platforms.
Barnes and Noble.
And Kobo Books.
Plus my own website at Payhip, which is getting a refresh.
Part of it is just a simple upload.
Cover and Epub for ebooks.
Cover and pdf for print copies.
But…
A new original description for each version.
Because SEO rewards original text, which can lead to higher rankings on search pages and help the right readers find them.
That part can be time consuming.
Plus 50 of the books can be converted into Audiobooks.
On Google Partners and Apple.
Just two more outlets to reach people who like stories.
And adding an original series to Amazon, taking advantage of their exclusivity while the other platforms grow.
And I know what to do once I get all the books uploaded, or what I call Admin work done.
I plan to move right into what I call the GARY VEE formula.
Ten posts per day per social media platform to take advantage of reach and exposure now.
Which means making videos, making images and making content to spread across those platforms.
With captions and hashtags that are unique per platform.
I know, it sounds like a lot.
It feels like a lot.
There are tricks and software and techniques to make it easier.
Like shooting a long video and then cutting it into segments for use across other platforms.
And scheduling with a software in one big batch.
It all feels complicated and seems complicated until you do it a couple of times, and then it’s just a matter of clicking and dropping and dragging and done.
All for one purpose.
To be everywhere all at once to build a Brand.
The Brand of Chris Lowry Author.
Best seller (at times) in six genres.
I also write a daily newsletter called IT’S 9AM that will be turned into a daily VLOG/Podcast to be repurposed across all channels.
Just from books I earn revenue from:
Amazon
Audible
Affiliate links
Payhip
Square
Google Partner Books
Draft2Digital
Kobo
Barnes and Noble
Spotify
Adsense (Youtube)
Medium
Tik Tok Shop
Patreon
Etsy
Gumroad
Ebay
Craigslist
Mercari
Some of them are only a few dollars at a time, some are hundreds, but each stream of income adds up every month.
The plan is to grow each of these platforms with ads (pay to play) and add a few more outlets:
Facebook Marketplace
Research Spotify
A dedicated blog site for Ad Sense and Affiliate
I wouldn’t mind finding a way to monetize the thousands of pictures I take every year.
I’ve been a Google GUIDE for five years and have over 8,000,000 views.
Some of the photos I take are pretty good.
I would think about adding a site or addition to a site for selling original canvas art.
Or tee shirts.
I have a TeeSpring site and I’ve sold around 100 tees in the past five years, but only when I focus and push them.
I need to consider an integrated strategy that involves it, but haven’t had the time to focus.
Yet.
Strategy.
That’s the name of the future game.
What strategy will work best, and what tactics will I use to make that strategy successful?
I study other authors, other internet marketing folks, but have not been able to level up.
Yet.
Which is the strategy I want to deploy most.
Moving to the next level.
My hope is moving into all platforms and growing them will lead to next level success.
My plan is to use social media platforms to reach that next level success.
Though it sounds a little hard, I’m not afraid of hard work.
So long as it’s the RIGHT work.
