She said, “Instead of just reading about it, why don’t you do something?”
Maybe that’s good advice.
Do something.
That’s probably a formula for anyone’s success.
I told her I was learning about licensing.
She said, “Don’t you have a driver’s license?”
I started to explain and she told me she didn’t care.
I understand.
I get that a lot.
Just because I want to know how and why and what, doesn’t mean everyone does.
Like the Coronavirus.
I’m not doing a deep dive on it, BUT I know the numbers are wrong.
First, they’re reported from the government on the news.
That’s two sources of lying that filters what we hear.
Plus, if you take a simple graph and apply what’s being reported, it matches a low growth curve.
There’s a name for it I don’t know.
But the number of infected and dead are off by about a factor of 10.
That means 10 times more dead, 10 times more infected.
10 times more reasons not to panic still.
It makes me think that some of my zombie stories (which don’t focus on Zombies and do focus on the breakdown in society) would follow the same pattern.
Something happens.
The Government lies.
It spreads fast.
Then it’s all over and done.
Maybe that’s why I read about prepping and homesteading and remember the lessons of my grandparents about being self sufficient so much.
Once you start to learn things, you stop trusting.
Like licensing.
I’m doing it for what started as my books and have learned that authors have been screwed for a long long time.
I’m learning my publishing company needs to be an entertainment company.
And I’m trying to figure it out from a small independent business owner perspective looking to move up to the next level.
For me, that’s reading, that’s studying, that’s asking a lot of questions.
It’s getting a lot of flack for not KNOWING the answers already.
Hell, half the time I’m trying to figure out what are the right questions.
That’s not just for business, that’s for life.
I write my questions down, and then I try to right the answers down, or plan around it.
It’s how I learn, and how I fill notebooks with ideas and scribbles and thoughts.
Then I go back and try to make sense of it.
What I don’t do is stop trying to learn.
I don’t stop trying to figure stuff out.
That’s something I do.
I figure it out.
One day, if there is a zombie apocalypse or an alien invasion or a demon incursion, I’ll know what to do.
Until then, I’ll just learn and write about it.

Please telll me that the meteor that just went by you rerouted it. FYI in my little neck of the woods I have heard of several people getting the Coors (Covid) virus. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out on his or her fingers that the count is wrong so we should just say +/- (plus or minus). I do like your books on YouTube .
I saw the reverse (I think) ... when Covid was in full swing, two things was interesting to note:
1) The actual national deaths reported, irrespective of cause, was sky high.
2) Followed by Life Insurers published deaths, irrespective of cause, as high.
Then Covid got under control and a lot less national deaths where recorded ... irrespective of cause.
Gets really interesting to ponder on when one contemplates that the one cause of death, vehicles, was very low compared to before and after Covid Lockdowns.
