An idea so good, it makes you wonder.
Why didn’t it happen sooner?
Have you ever wondered why insurance was so high?
Or why medical care was so expensive?
Or why so many people don’t go see doctors on the regular?
It’s me.
I’m the one who’s wondering about doctors pushing pills to get paid by pharma companies.
Then getting away with murder when overdoses increase by the hundreds of thousands.
States went after pharma, but not the drug dealers with medical licenses.
Or the pharmacists who fill the prescriptions.
Yes, I know addicts will find a way.
I just wonder how many addicts were made in that manner.
Hindsight being what it is the idea they’re rolling out now might have made more problems than it solved.
Or it might have been a trade off.
The idea is putting healthcare centers in the front of Wal Mart Supercenters.
A great idea.
They’ve tried fast food joints, and hair salons.
Eyeglass centers and H&R blocks.
Or was it Jackson Hewitt?
Now, they’re renting space to themselves as landlords of physician centers.
Serving the clients that frequent Wal Mart.
A very under represented market when it comes to health care and in spots where people go often.
Making a trip to the doctor as easy as shopping for groceries.
I don’t think it’s altruism.
Wal Mart is partnering with United Healthcare, so they will get paid.
A lot.
Especially as the largest population ages into longer lives with the help of health care.
Will there be abuses?
I think, yes.
There always is.
In Florida, they found ways to build pill mills for opioids, and I remember reading about Medicare fraud and Medicaid Fraud almost every other week.
Fraudsters will find a way.
Worse than addicts.
But will the good outweigh the bad?
I think, yes.
What if healthcare became a habit.
What if they hired doctors who knew that the best way to supplement medicine is with good diet and exercise and passed out shopping lists so folks stayed out of the middle aisles.
Preventive check ups and check in’s and tune up’s as needed.
A great idea, even.
This from a guy who hasn’t been to the doctor in years.
Because nothing’s wrong and I hate sitting in waiting rooms.
A great idea for a medical office in Wal Mart so long as they keep a schedule.
Drive into the auto center for an oil change, walk through the store for a visit to the Physicians Assistant and then drive to the pick up spot to have them load groceries in the car.
All in an hour or less.
They’re trying the idea in Texas first.
Piloting the concept.
And Wal Mart pilots a lot of concepts.
Grass covered roofs.
They have a lot of square footage for roofs and a shallow root grass system grown on top of the buildings was supposed to off set carbon footprints.
I saw somewhere a solar charging parking lot, and somewhere else solar paneled rooftops.
All attempts to save money or make money and add millions to the bottom line.
Corporate money and tax credits are a big incentive.
So is billions in insurance billings over the course of the next twenty years.
If the pilot works.
Good ideas should be tested, refined and reviewed before expanded.
And questioned.
What do you think?
Dr. Wal-Mart.
A one stop shop.
A doctor’s appointment. A place to fill your prescription. Get your teeth cleaned and eyes checked.
Fill your cart with a week’s worth of dinners and call it a day.
Sounds simple.
Sounds easy.
Just wondering if it sounds right.

Thanks. Now have something to look forward to at my age of 77. That's another whole lot going on. I can't run fast. Can't walk fast. I can think fast. I can type okay. I don't think my speed is going down. I'm an internet junkie and a dearly love Mr. Farnsworth and my little buddy Cage. I wonder what it would really be like if they were some truths in that a vampire and their capital building my my that would be positively wonderful. I know who I'd like him to bump off first and I'll keep that to myself. I've been thinking about right now book. Yep. Been thinking about it for years. I just know how I just don't know how to start. Plus I hate to type. As you can see I'm not punctuating very good. I'm mostly talk when I'm communicating online. For some reason these little keypad things on the phone's little things are so small. I don't know why they don't make the keys bigger. One more thing and I'll leave you alone. I appreciate that you've been included me in your emails for some reason. Amazon doesn't know who you are. We need to check that out don't you think? Talk to you later later. Gator
