So begins the twelve days of Christmas.

I’ve chased this taste for the last decade, because something has always been just a little off.

But last night, working in the treats while I made enchiladas for dinner after baseball practice, I got it right.

I don’t know if it was the “busy-ness” of it, or perhaps the way I stirred, or maybe I was just thinking so much of the memory of Mamaw that I channeled her love into the mix.

But I got it right.

The taste.

Just like hers.

#10 ate five and declared them “mid” which according to slang today means “pretty darn good.”

Not quite the awesome I had in mind, but I effuse over more things than most.

I’m very good at effusing.
