I normally read my emails in the reading pane, which I suspect doesn't give you any indication that it's been read, since I never open the email. But I do read them. I especially like your take on the politics of any aging southern city.
Hello, I am an unpaid subscriber, but I read your email top to bottom almost every day. I do take advantage of some of the free books here and there, mostly Scifi. I like mystery, suspense, crime, etc. I am not a fan of fantasy or magic. Just not my cup of tea. I appreciate how hard you work to make it work. Do not be discouraged. I do not believe you are doing anything wrong, only that others either miss the point, or are too lazy, (Like I tend to be), to act or react.
I'm with Kevin and Gil, any fault lies not with you but with us. You put out good product and 9 AM is pretty much the first thing I head for when I open my email each day! I hope it makes your day to see that today, you've beaten your record of ½ of 1% by a sliver because I did click a link and clicked subscribe. Even better, I'm reading one of your books as we speak. ;-)
You can never make up on what you missed. The best you can do is go with what you can and let the other take care of itself. I am 81 and still have that problem. But you can have others help you with items that they can do for you. I read your posts and find most very interesting. Go with God and have a great day.
I may be a day behind in reading yr dailies, but I read them all and enjoy yr outlook on life, especially when it melds with mine, LOL. If I don't click on the free books, it probably means it's a genre I'm not interested in. You write some great books, else I wouldn't be here.
As I’ve already told you time and again, Chris, I love to read your 9 AM musings. It’s one of the email/Substack I look forward to reading every day. I despair, I feel hope, I feel sad, and also feel joy with you. Thank you, Chris.
I agree with my fellow readers, Chris. It’s not you, it’s us. I’d love to be a paid subscriber but sadly health issues impede me to work, therefore have a limited income. With my also limited monthly book budget I like to invest in good books, with my favourite authors(Although I cheated this month and purchased two SciFi books of yours. 😁 I haven’t begun to read them yet though)! Otherwise, I mostly read through KU(Kindle Unlimited), a life saver for me. Reading is slow, thanks to physical pains, strong meds, mental stress..
I thank you for your dedication, and am very grateful to you for your daily time invested writing and sending us emails everyday. Keep it up. We appreciate you and hold you in high value.
